Sales and Shipping - Terms and Conditions

We accept:
The Blooming and budded material and "Gifts" must be shipped Standard Overnight to ensure their save arrival. United States Postal Service:   To P.O Boxes only or in areas where Fed Ex does not cover.  Either Priority 1 to 3 days or Express mail overnight. To use USPS a call or Email or Fax is necessary, as our normal shipping is Fed Ex. USPS is not listed in our our shopping cart, so a separate contact will be necessary to start the process. We will not us USPS in the winter. Packing and shipping charges are based on the size and weight of the plants and the dimensions of the box. We do ship to: Puerto Rico and Hawaii with extra documentation ( cities- Hawaii) however there will be a cost for inspection and cites fee. We will check with Ag at time of shipment, about 50.00 per shipment. Sorry at this time we do NOT ship out of the country.
Winter shipments are very well insulated and are packed with chemical heat packs. Winter shipments are held until temperatures are above 45 degrees at all points in the shipping process.Additional charges may apply(special packing and "heat Packs"). We ship Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday AM only, except on Holiday weeks. We do this to insure the plants arrive safely and not spend any time in a "freight depot" over the weekend. Over-Night "Special Orders" and Blooming Gift orders must arrive to us no later than 10:00 Am to insure proper handling for next day delivery. We will not ship on Friday for Saturday delivery ( Even Overnight).
BS-P- (Bloom size Pot) BS-Mnt (Bloom size Mount), Slab, cork, redwood, cedar plaques BS-Bsk (Bloom size basket) NBS-Mnt (Near Bloom Size Mount) NBS-Bsk (Near Bloom size Basket) NBS- Means Plants near blooming size, 1 to 2 growing seasons needed to become flower size. * Growing seasons vary from plant to plant 6 to 12 months on a average. SLD- Seedlings; most Plants need 3 to 4 growing seasons to become flowering size White Oak Orchids sells mostly plants at or flowering size to ensure you the customer has the best chance to flower and enjoy you choice of our healthy and beautiful orchids. Returns/ Exchanges: Please notify us immediately via phone or email if your plants are damaged in shipment. Due to the nature of live orchids, we regret that we cannot honor claims reported after 7 days of shipment. Do not refuse or return a shipment without notifying us first. Since these are rare occurrences, please contact us to help us determine if you should send the shipment back; at your expense or whether a photo of the damage will suffice for a replacement. Conditions: All prices of plants and supplies are subject to change without notice. All items are subject to prior sale; offerings may be withdrawn without prior notice. We make every effort to label plants correctly, but in any event, our liability is limited to the purchase price of the plant involved. White Oaks Orchids does not guarantee the blooming of any particular plant. All plants leaving our nursery are well grown and carefully inspected of any signs of disease, pests or viruses. To the very best of our abilities, plants leave free of disease and pests. Orchids are living things and can acquire pests and disease at any time. The health of our plants is paramount, we strive to be pest and virus free. Due to the natural changes of the plants this may be dormant and not show signs for a long time. If a plant arrives that is suspect or does not look right, please contact us.
California sales tax of 8.25% ( as of 10-01-2011); will be added to all order destinations in California. Call if you have special needs or a Tax ID number that excludes you from this. We will be glad to accommodate your special needs. Confidentiality: We will not sell or provide your contact information to any other organization or business. Your privacy is safe with White Oaks Orchids.
